We recorded several songs live and the sound was clear and the recordings were good. These are easy to use, intuitive, easy to set up, and deliver a nice clean sound. Cubase LE4 is compatible with both Windows and Mac 122m,ii. This box performs as well as some of the most expensive I have ever owned. That thing is a nightmare.

Our Dell D laptop was not able to power this device. Be the first to review this item. It has very simple instructions to load the drivers, then plug it in and it works perfectly! Take a look at the noise level using on-board with your audio capture software and then use this and what ever might be left is ‘almost invisable’ I will order another one soon so that all three of my main systems have one!
No problems, drivers are solid. Build quality is good. I bought this to amplify my microphone into my laptop to record weather forecasts for my radio stations.
I can easily go from recording with microphone to MIDI without needed to unplug or change physical set-up. The hardware and accompanying software loaded well enough, what I ran into was a brick wall with the complimentary recording software Cubase. I love my little Tascam.
Only 12mkii channels for inputs, but that works for me. Great way to get your audio off those elect. Recording 1 instrument at a time using Audacity was even better. Just need to change settings on the computer. The pres are clean and quiet.

It seems like our limitations are our mics and our skills, not this unit.
Its construction is both attractive and sturdy. Only part I have struggled with is using Monitor out for headphone. You can automate your mixes, sweeten the sound with plug-ins, and create elaborate MIDI sequences, as well as take advantage of the built-in MIDI inputs and outputs. The compact size of the USMKII makes it ideal for studio and field recording, and the USB bus powering capability means that you never have to plug it into the outlet on the wall or fuss with a power cable.
